Vegetarian, Vegan, Venison
Do you eat meat or fish? If so, then you would not be a vegetarian or a vegan. A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat or seafood and a vegan is a person who not only doesn’t eat meat or seafood but does not eat ANY animal products. This includes eggs, milk, cheese, ice cream etc. So, what is venison? Well, nowadays most people use the word “Venison” to refer to deer meat but in the past, it referred to any meat that was hunted such as rabbit or wild boar. The word “Venison” comes from the Latin word “venari “ which means, “to hunt”.
