第16回 Your Dream Diary
Your Dream Diary
Hello again! Before, I said that keeping an English diary is one good way to help you improve your English ability. Today I’d like to talk about another kind of diary, a dream diary. Can you remember your dreams? When you wake up, writing them down will help you remember them.
First, keep a notebook by your bed. This is where you will write your dreams.
Next, make sure you write the date of the dream. Write down every possible detail of you dream. Location, colors, sounds, objects, characters, and your emotions are all important!
Grammar, spelling and punctuation are not so important when recording your dreams. Just write the dream down on paper before you forget!
When something is hard to describe in words, draw a quick picture of the image you saw.
Lastly, think about a title for your dream.
Of course, I hope you will try to write your dreams in English! But, it’s okay to write it in Japanese first and then try to put it into English later.
Keeping a dream diary might help you understand more about yourself and how you are feeling about various things.
I’d love to take a look at your dream diary sometime!
